NOTICE OF DISPLAY OF PLANS AND PUBLIC HEARING
FOR THE FY 2025-2029 CONSOLIDATED PLAN
AND FY 2025 ANNUAL ACTION PLAN
CITY OF WEIRTON, WEST VIRGINIA
Notice is hereby given that the City of Weirton, Brooke and Hancock Counties, WV will hold an in-person public hearing on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at 2:30 p.m., prevailing time, in Room 201 of the Weirton Municipal Building, 200 Municipal Plaza, Weirton, WV 26062. The Weirton Municipal Building is accessible to persons with physical disabilities. If special arrangements are needed to accommodate any persons with disabilities, those with hearing or vision impairments, or those with limited English proficiency, in order for them to participate in the public hearing, including translation services, please contact Ms. Risha Marple, Program Manager, at 304-797-8500 extension 1019 or

to make those arrangements, or for persons who may have a hearing impediment, please contact 7-1-1 for the TTY/TTD relay.
The purpose of the public hearing is to present the City of Weirton’s FY 2025-2029 Five-Year Consolidated Plan and FY 2025 Annual Action Plan for the use of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds. The city intends to submit these plans to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) on or before Monday, July 14, 2025.
In order to obtain the view of residents, public agencies, and other interested parties, the City of Weirton will place these planning documents on public display for 30 days from Tuesday, June 3, 2025 through Wednesday, July 2 2025, on the city’s website at

as well as at the City of Weirton Planning and Development Department, 200 Municipal Plaza, Weirton, WV and at the Mary H. Weir Public Library, 3442 Main St, Weirton, WV.
Weirton City Council is anticipated to consider at its regular meeting on Monday, July 7, 2025 the Resolution adopting the FY 2025-2029 Consolidated Plan and the FY 2025 Annual Action Plan and authorizing submission to HUD.
The following CDBG activities are proposed for funding under the FY 2025 Annual Action Plan:

Sidewalk Reconstruction in

FOR PROJECTS/ACTIVITIES = $392,897
If the city undertakes an activity that results in the displacement of families or individuals, then the city would utilize its policy for minimizing such displacement. Furthermore, the city is responsible for replacing all low- and moderate-income housing units that may be demolished or converted as a result of CDBG funds.
All interested residents are encouraged to attend this public hearing, and they will be given the opportunity to present oral or written testimony concerning the proposed use of Federal CDBG funds under the FY 2025-2029 Five-Year Consolidated Plan and the FY 2025 Annual Action Plan.
