The Town of Smithfield is seeking sealed bids from
licensed contractors for the demolition and land
clearance of multiple residential structures in Smithfield,
Wetzel County, WV;

Interested bidders may obtain a bid packet by
contacting project administrator Luke Peters at
304-916-9438. Demolition is to be funded in part by a
grant from the WV DEP DLAP program, related
conditions will apply. All structures have been tested
and are planned to be abated prior to demolition under
separate contract.
All bids, a 5% bid bond or cashiers’ check and provided
forms are due to the town by 4:00 PM, June 27, 2025, at
which time they will be opened and read aloud. Bids
may be delivered either by hand to the Town Office at
86 Mannington Road, or mailed in a sealed envelope
marked “Smithfield Demolition Bid #1” to PO BOX 67,
Smithfield, WV 26437. The Town reserves the right to
reject all bids.
