ORDER OF PUBLICATION
Unknown Father or any individual otherwise claiming
parental rights to the above referenced child.
The purpose of the above styled civil proceedings is for
the West Virginia Department of Human Services to
obtain a judicial decree finding that you have abused,
neglected and/or abandoned the child, J.W., born on
August 30, 2023. Take notice that these proceedings
may result in the permanent termination of your parental
rights to the child.
It appears by an Affidavit filed in this matter that Ellacia
West is the mother of the child, that no father is listed on
the child’s birth certificate and that there may be
unknown individuals who have or claims to have
parental rights to the child.
You are hereby ORDERED to appear on or before the
25th day of July, 2025 at the office of the Circuit Clerk of
Wetzel County, West Virginia, in the Wetzel County
Courthouse, 200 Main Street, New Martinsville, West
Virginia to answer, defend and protect any such
interests and rights you have in this matter. If you do not
appear on or before July 25, 2025, an Order will be
entered permanently terminating your parental rights to
the child, J.W. A copy of the Petition to Institute Child
Abuse and Neglect Proceedings and the Notice of
Termination of Parental Rights may be obtained at the
Wetzel County Circuit Clerk’s Office at 200 Main Street,
New Martinsville, West Virginia. In the event you are
unable to afford legal counsel to protect your interests,
counsel will be appointed for you upon the completion of
an application available in the Clerk’s Office.
