NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR A ZONING VARIANCE The Zoning Board of Appeals is hereby notifying area property owners that Christine McDaniel Sturtevant has filed with the Zoning Board of Appeals an appeal regarding a change of use for the property located at 48 West Street Salem, WV 26426. Ms. Sturtevant is not in compliance with our Zoning Ordinance; this property is zoned R-1, which does not allow for the type of businesses she would like to establish. Ms. Sturtevant would like to operate a café and thrift/antique shop at this location. A Public Hearing in connection with the petition shall be held at City Hall, 229 West Main Street Salem, WV 26426 on July 24, 2025 at 5:30 p.m., and all interested parties may appear and be heard at this time.
