AND EVALUATION
REPORT (CAPER)
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND DISPLAY OF THE CAPER
In accordance with Title I of the National Affordable Housing Act of 1990, P.L. 101-625, the City of Weirton has prepared its Fiscal Year 2024 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) for its Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG) and the HOME Investment Partnership Program (HOME). This report describes the level of housing assistance and other community development activities designed to benefit low- and moderate-income persons and households through various federal funding programs during Fiscal Year 2024 (July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025).
The City will hold a public hearing on
Thursday, September 18, 2025,
at 12:00 p.m. ,
prevailing time, in Room 201 in the Weirton Municipal Building, 200 Municipal Plaza, Weirton, WV 26062. The City Building is accessible to persons with physical disabilities. If special arrangements are needed, please call Ms. Risha Marple, Program Manager, City of Weirton at 304-797-8500 ext. 1019. Persons with hearing and/or speech impediments may contact the City of Weirton through the “West Virginia Relay” by dialing “7-1-1.”
The purpose of the public hearing will be to obtain residents’ comments on the FY 2024 CAPER document.
The City of Weirton intends to submit the FY 2024 CAPER to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) on or before Monday, September 29, 2025.
A copy of the FY 2024 CAPER is available for public inspection beginning Friday, September 5, 2025, through Friday, September 19, 2025, at the following locations:

T he FY 2024 CAPER will also be available on the City’s website at https://www.cityofweirton.com .
All interested persons are encouraged to review the FY 2024 CAPER. Comments on the CAPER will be considered until Friday, September 19, 2025.
