Annual Public Notice
West Virginia Code Section 15-5A-7(d)(5) requires local LEPC’s to publish annually a notice in local
newspapers that the emergency response plan is available for review, as are those material safety data sheets, emergency, first aid and medical treatment procedures, inventory forms and follow up emergency notices which have been submitted to the committee. The notice shall also state that members of the public who wish to review any such plan, sheet, form or follow up notice may do so at a designated location.
Accordingly , information concerning Hancock County LEPC meetings, SARA Title III hazardous materials planning which is included in our Hancock County Emergency Operations Plan, material safety data sheets, hazardous chemical inventory forms, listing extremely hazardous substances manufactured, stored, or used within Hancock County as well as any first aid or medical treatment related to hazardous materials can be obtained during normal business hours by contacting the Hancock County Homeland Security and Emergency Management, 82 Emergency Drive, New Cumberland, WV 26047 or 304-564-4040.
