BID INVITATION FOR
USED VEHICLES & MIXER
The Hancock County Board of Education invites you to bid on eight (8) used school buses and one 80 quart Hobart floor mixer.
All vehicles may be viewed and inspected by contacting Mark Dziatkowicz in the Transportation Department at (304) 564-5159. The mixer may be viewed and inspected by contacting Steve Govey in the Food Service Department at (304) 748-6870.
Any bid to receive consideration must be submitted on a bid sheet form available at the Transportation Department, 64 Rockyside Road (off Route 2), New Cumberland, WV 26047, the Central Kitchen, 90 Red Rider Road, Weirton, WV 26062 or the Finance Office, 130 Rockefeller Circle, New Cumberland, WV 26047 or by phoning (304) 564-3411, Ext. 5. The bid envelope must be clearly marked “Used Equipment Bid”, be sealed and either hand delivered to the office of the Superintendent of the Hancock County Board of Education, 130 Rockefeller Circle, New Cumberland, WV 26047, mailed to the Superintendent of the Hancock County Board of Education, PO Box 1300, New Cumberland, WV 26047, emailed to [email protected] or faxed to 304-564-5690. All bids must be received prior to 2:00 pm Monday, September 29, 2025 at which time bids will be opened and read.
Payment must be made before the successful bidder may remove any equipment from the premises. It shall be further the responsibility of the successful bidder to remove the flashing warning lights, to have all lettering removed or permanently obscured, and to paint the buses a color other than chrome yellow as required by the State of West Virginia.
