A Public Hearing by the City of Weirton Planning Commission has been scheduled for Wednesday October 15, 2025, in Council Chambers, Weirton City Building at 5:30 PM. The purpose of this meeting is to review the following Zoning amendment requests:
a) A recommendation to City Council that a text amendment be approved to the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO), specifically Article 12.13 Sign Regulations, Section (F) Outdoor Advertising (Billboards), adding Mixed Use to Section (F)(2) and removing the prohibition of variances Section (F)(4).
Applicants must appear in person; all interested parties may appear in person or be represented by an agent or attorneys, or written comments can be submitted to the Planning and Development Department at 200 Municipal Plaza, Weirton, WV 26062 in writing, giving reasons for either granting or denying this petition.
