AIR QUALITY PERMIT NOTICE
Notice of Application
Notice is given that McElroy Green Marketing, LLC has
applied to the West Virginia Department of
Environmental Protection, Division of Air Quality (DAQ),
for a Regulation 13 Permit for the construction of the
Harrison 2 West Borehole flare system with methane
exhauster engine to be located near Smithfield, Wetzel
County, West Virginia. The proposed site is located off
of Shortline Highway.
The latitude and longitude coordinates are:
39.488120 and 80.545391.
The applicant estimates the potential to discharge the
following Regulated Air Pollutants:
NOx of 41.58 tons per year (tpy)
CO of 95.02 tpy
VOC of 2.01 tpy
PM/PM10/PM2.5 of 8.29 tpy
SO 2 of 0.21 tpy
Total HAPs of 0.09 tpy.
The facility will begin operating on or about November 1,
2025.
Written comments will be received by the West Virginia
Department of Environmental Protection, DAQ, 601
57th Street, SE, Charleston, WV 25304, for at least 30
calendar days from the date of publication of this notice.
