Request for Proposal for Legal Services
The Wheeling Housing Authority, a medium sized PHA responsible for administration & management of public housing in the Wheeling area, seeks proposals from qualified individuals or firms to provide legal services. WHA currently administers over 1000 units in 3 programs through the housing authority with a variety of general legal matters that need attention, including evictions, terminations, procurement/contracts, and other business/HUD related issues. Additionally, WHA generally has between 30-35 employees and would need legal services to cover employment issues as they arise, including advice and counsel regarding employee issues, discipline/ discharge, and updates on employment laws.
Individuals or firms must be admitted for practice before the WV Bar, have practiced before the Federal Judiciary, and have relevant litigation experience to general issues before both Federal and local court.
