A Public Hearing for the Board of Zoning Appeals is scheduled for Tuesday, December 2, 2025, in Council Chambers, Weirton City Building, 4:30PM. The purpose of this meeting is to review the following application(s):
a) Mike Heilman is requesting Conditional Use approval to place an additional Self-Storage Facility adjacent to his existing units located at 300 County Road (Tax Map W38H, Parcel 15). Under the provisions of UDO Table 1. Permitted Land Use Table and Article 10.29 Self-Storage Facility, approval from the zoning board is required for in the Mixed-Use (MU) district.
b) Crowned Eagle Holding, LLC is requesting Conditional Use approval to operate a metal recycling facility at 4701 Freedom Way (Tax Map 6-W2P, Parcel 27). Per UDO Table 1. Permitted Land Use Table and Article 10.27 Salvage Yard, approval from the zoning board is required for in the Industrial (M-2) district.
Applicants must appear in person; all interested parties may appear in person or be represented by an agent, attorney, or submit comments in writing giving reasons for either granting or denying this petition.
