NOTICE OF SALE OF REAL PROPERTY
Now comes the City of Benwood, West Virginia and makes known it will be selling at public auction certain vacant real property with an address of 406 Water Street in the City of Benwood. Being the real property acquired by the City of Benwood by deed dated the 23rd day of April 2019, from Joseph A. Risden and Spencer R. Risden Sr. and of record in the Office of the Clerk of the Marshall County Commission in Deed Book 1041 at page 149.
The real property shall be offered for sale by public auction in the Council Chambers located at the Benwood City Building with an address of 430 Main Street, Benwood, West Virginia 26031, at 5:00 p.m. on the 18th day of December, 2019. A minimum bid has been set in the amount of $1,000.00. Council of the City of Benwood reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
The property is being sold as is with the City of Benwood, making no warranties as to the condition of the property. The deed conveying said real property will be a quitclaim deed.
At the conclusion of the auction the successful bidder shall be required to tender a deposit in the amount of 10{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c} of the sales price. Closing shall be completed within (30) thirty days of the date of sale.
