The City of Bridgeport, WV, in Harrison County, West Virginia, is in the process of obtaining Statements of Qualifications from qualified engineering firms detailing the firm’s qualifications, technical expertise, management and staffing capabilities, references, and related prior experience. Professional services will include but are not limited to planning, preliminary engineering, design- and construction-related services, preparation of bidding and contract documents, participation in the evaluation of bids received, and monitoring and inspection of construction activities to ensure compliance with plans and specifications associated with The Downtown Green Space and Lakes Park Enhancement Projects. The Green Space Project will include the development of conceptual and final designs for a compact parking area that provides safe and efficient access to adjacent businesses. The design should incorporate a green space that enhances the overall appearance of the area and creates an inviting entrance to the city’s downtown corridor. This project is located at the recently acquired property at the corner of N. Virginia Avenue and U.S. Route 50 in Bridgeport, West Virginia. The Lakes Park Enhancement Project will evaluate the existing shelter area and develop a new layout that improves both function and aesthetics. The redesign should enhance accessibility, circulation, and usability for visitors while integrating landscaping and design elements that complement the surrounding park environment. The Deegan & Hinkle Lakes Park Shelter area is located at 951 Hinkle Lake Road, Bridgeport, West Virginia 26330. Procurement of said services will be in accordance with Chapter 5G of the WV State Code, 2 CFR Part 200 and applicable federal regulations meeting 0MB Circular A-102 requirements. Based on evaluation of the statements of qualifications, if enough proposals are received a minimum of three firms will be invited to submit additional information and be interviewed.
