NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING #3 Gallia County intends to request an amendment to the Ohio Department of Development for the Program Year 2024 CDBG Critical Infrastructure Grant to move grant funds from one project activity to another project activity that provides the funds for the Gallipolis Township Burkhart Lane Slip & Culvert Repair Project. The proposed grant amendment is as follows: Move $47,517.32 CDBG grant funds from professional fees to street improvements as follows: Project Category #2 Burkhart Slip & Culvert Repair, Activity #1 Professional Fees $116,000 – $47,517.32 = $68,482.68 Project Category #2 Burkhart Slip & Culvert Repair, Activity #2 Street Improvements $341,000 + $47,517.32 = $388,517.32 Grant deadlines will remain as follows: Work Completion: 8/31/2026 Draw Deadline: 9/30/2026 Grant Completion: 10/31/2026 This amendment is needed to have enough funds in the street improvements project activity to cover a change order for culvert headwall reinforcement. A third public hearing will be held Thursday, February 26, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. to give citizens an adequate opportunity to review and comment on the county’s proposed amendment for the PY 2024 Critical Infrastructure Program Grant. This public hearing will be held in the Gallia County Commissioners Office in the Gallia County Courthouse, Gallipolis, Ohio to discuss the proposed project activity amendments summarized above, before the county submits the grant amendment to the Ohio Department of Development.
