CITY OF BUCKHANNON NOTICE OF APPEAL TO ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS Notice is hereby given that Gerald Arey has filed with the Zoning Board of Appeals an appeal regarding a 51 Foot Wide Driveway located at 190 Pocahontas Street in the City of Buckhannon. Mr. Arey has been denied a permit, since the application fails to meet Zoning Ordinance 244, Section 623a, which states in part, “The width of any entrance and exit driveway leading to or from any public street to any commercial structure or establishment, whether said commercial structure or establishment is located as permitted in a residential or in a commercial district, shall not exceed thirty feet (30′) at its intersection with the curb line or the edge of the pavement.” A Public Hearing of the Buckhannon Zoning Board of Appeals will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at 5:30 p.m. The meeting will be held in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, 70 East Main Street, Buckhannon WV.
