PUBLIC HEARING
ON PROPOSED ORDINANCE
TO: CITIZENS OF THE CITY OF FAIRMONT:
The Council of the City of Fairmont at its regular meeting held March 10, 2026, introduced and publicly read by synopsis an ordinance regarding a rezoning request for Grant Annex. Due to a correction in that Ordinance title, the following Ordinance title is being published:
1.An Ordinance Of The Council For The City Of Fairmont Providing For The Rezoning Of Those Certain Tracts Or Parcels Of Real Estate Situate In The City Of Fairmont, Grant Annex District, Marion County, West Virginia, Being Parcels 12, 12.1, 14, 15, And 48 Of Marion County Tax Map 04-02 And Parcel 98.2 Of Marion County Tax Map 04-07 Said Tracts Or Parcels Of Real Estate Being Rezoned From "General Residential (GR)" To "Neighborhood Residential (NR)" And Providing For An Amendment To The Zoning Map Of The City Of Fairmont.
Copies of the proposed Ordinance are available in the Office of the City Clerk, Room 312, 200 Jackson Street, Fairmont, West Virginia.
The Public Hearing on the proposed item will be held at 7:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, in Council Chambers, at the Public Safety Building, 500 Quincy Street, Fairmont, West Virginia.
Any interested person may appear at the public hearing and be heard as to whether or not said proposed Ordinance shall be enacted. All objections and suggestions shall be heard, and Council shall take such action as it deems necessary in the premises.
