INVITATION TO BID
The City of Benwood is accepting sealed bids for Water Meters Inventory. The specification for this project is the following:
1. Deliver and Install Six Hundred and Fourteen (614) AWWA C700 Positive Displacement
Water Meters with Encoder Register, Cubic Feet, Furnished, Per Unit (Five hundred Seventy-Four (574) 5/8 x 5/8-inch, Ten (10) 1-inch, Twenty-Four (24) 2-inch, Three (3) 6-
inch, Two (2) 6-inch Compound Meters, One (1) 8-inch (must register flow in GPM))
2. Meters must be able to send real time data to utility department and secondary computer.
3. Installation of Mobile & Office Software including in-person training, Technical Support & Warranty
Detailed bid specs can be obtained in person at the Benwood Municipal Offices at 430 Main Street, Benwood, WV 26031 or by calling the City Clerk’s office at 304-232-4320.
Sealed bids must be plainly marked “Water Meters Inventory” on the outside of the envelope as well as secondary sealed envelope and addressed to the Benwood Water Department. Sealed
bids can be mailed or dropped off at the address above. Sealed bids will be accepted through April 23, 2026, at 4:00pm. All sealed bids must be hand delivered, or post marked by April 23, 2026.
Sealed bids will be opened April 28, 2026, at 12:00pm in the Benwood Council Cham- bers.
Scope: To supply, deliver, train and install water meters used in the City of Benwood Water System. Including in the field & software training.
The City of Benwood reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
