NOTICE OF WAIT LIST OPENING
The City of Martinsburg Housing Authority (MHA) will open its Public Housing waitlist on April 15th, 2026. The waitlist will remain open until May 31, 2026 for the following communities.
Martinsburg Housing Authority Communities:
- Adam Stephen Homes – 613 Wilson Street, Martinsburg, WV 25401 – 1, 2 & 3 Bedroom Apartments
- Ambrose Towers – 703 Porter Ave, Martinsburg, WV 25401 – Efficiency & 1 Bedroom Apartments
- Leeland Apartments – 201 North Kentucky Ave, Martinsburg, WV 25401 – 1, 2, 3 & 4 Bedroom Apartments
- Stonewall Haven – 300 Silver Lane, Martinsburg, WV 25401 – 1 Bedroom Apartments
- Horatio Gates Village – 690 Porter Ave, Martinsburg, WV 25401 – 1, 2 & 3 Bedroom Apartments
Applications may be picked up at the locations listed below. You can also retrieve an application from our website at https://cityofmartinsburgha.org/public-housing/ or request one via email at [email protected]
Applications will be accepted Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 am -12pm and 12:30pm to 4:00pm. You can also send your application via US Postal Mail to the address below or by email to [email protected]

Applicants must meet income eligibility requirements. These requirements include a background check, national sex offender registry check, and must meet the HUD income limits listed below, along with other criteria in accordance with the MHA Admissions and Continued Occupancy Policy (ACOP). Placement on the waiting list does not guarantee immediate housing. Placement on the waiting list will be determined by the date the completed application is received in the office.
