NOTICE OF PROPOSED CONVEYANCE OF PROPERTY OF
DIVINE HOUSE OF REFUGE, INC., formerly BEHOLD THE
LAMB TABERNACLE, INC., which was originally
DIVINE HOUSE OF REFUGE INC.
Notice is hereby given that Board of Trustees of the DIVINE HOUSE OF REFUGE, INC., formerly BEHOLD THE LAMB TABERNACLE INC., which was originally DIVINE HOUSE OF REFUGE, INC., will, on or after April 12, 2026, QUITCLAIM, GRANT and CONVEY to Hillside Calvary Church, all of their right, title and interest, in and to the following tracts or parcels of land, situate in Morgan District, Monongalia County, West Virginia, and being more particularly described as follows: PARCEL I: All and singular a certain lot or parcel of ground, situate, lying and being in the County of Monongalia, and State of West Virginia, on Deep Hollow Run near the Old Valley Furnace, on which is erected a Frame Church Called “Mellon’s Chapel.” Said tract of land is bounded as follows, viz: Beginning at a stone pile at the edge of the County road, thence South 89 E. 21 poles to painters in Clark Pixler’s line, and with it North 31° East 4 poles to W.O. thence North 75 West 24 poles to the road, and with the same 8 2/5 poles to the beginning. Containing 135 poles. PARCEL II: A small lot of land situated in Morgan District, in Monongalia County, West Virginia, containing about one half acre, and bounded on the southern side by the northern line of the land owned by said trustees, whereon the said Mellon’s Chapel building now or formerly stood, and on its eastern side by the line of lands owned by the Morgantown and Kingwood Railroad Company, and on the western side by the county road leading toward Dellslow, and on its northern side by a straight line parallel with and ninety-eight feet from the first named line for the use of the church and congregation worshipping at Mellon’s Chapel, and for a cemetery lot to be under the charge and control of the said trustees and their successors. And being the same property conveyed to Divine House of Refuge, Inc. from Mellon Chapel Cemetery Association, Inc. and Amanda Wolfe, Sharon Clem, and Richard Clem, in their capacity as Trustees of Mellon Chapel Cemetery Association, Inc., by deed dated May 1, 2019, and recorded in the Office of the Clerk of the County Commission of Monongalia County, West Virginia, in Deed Book 1666, at Page 9. Said Divine House of Refuge, Inc., formerly known as Behold the Lamb Tabernacle, Inc., which was originally Divine House of Refuge, Inc., will be closed effective on or before April 30, 2026, by a resolution of its Board of Trustees.
