PUBLIC HEARING FOR
AN ORDINANCE TO PROHIBIT ALL TERRAIN VEHICLE TRAVEL ON PUBLIC RIGHTS OF WAY ON ROUTE 662 IN CLEAR FORK
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Tazewell County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on MAY 5th, 2026 at 6:40 PM, or as soon thereafter as may be heard at the County Administration Building, 197 Main Street, Tazewell, Virginia, to consider public comment regarding the Board of Supervisors intent to enact an Ordinance to prohibit the use of All Terrain Vehicles (ATVs) on streets and public rights of way on ROUTE 662 in Clear Fork by persons who are not owners of the property burdened by such right of way or their agents, employees, licensees, invitees, or guests. The ordinance would make operation of an ATV on such public rights of way and streets a Class IV Misdemeanor. The ordinance would require that future Boards may not authorize such ATV use without a public hearing to amend or repeal the ordinance. A copy of the proposed ordinance will be posted at the Tazewell County Circuit Court Clerk's Office, on the County's website www.tazewellcounty.org. and is available at the County Administration Building, 197 Main Street, Tazewell, Virginia 24651.
