MASON COUNTY COURTHOUSE ROOF REPLACEMENT PROJECT ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed Bids will be received by the Mason County Commission at the Mason County Courthouse, 200 Sixth Street, Point Pleasant, West Virginia 25550, for the MASON COUNTY COURTHOUSE ROOF REPLACEMENT PROJECT, until 1:00 P.M., L.P.T., May 21, 2026, at which time the bids received will be opened publicly and read aloud. The total base bid price for the contract shall include the costs for furnishing labor and materials and performing all work set forth in the Advertisement for Bids, Information for Bidders, Form of Proposal, General Conditions, Supplemental General Conditions, and Plans and Detail Specifications prepared by Chapman Technical Group. The work to be bid upon is described as follows, but not limited to: Removal and proper disposal of the existing EPDM roof system down to the existing deck, repair of existing decking, asbestos remediation and disposal, removal and disposal of an existing roof mounted storage area, and installation of a new fully adhered EPDM roof system with new insulation, flashings, terminations, and other incidental construction in accordance with the drawings and specifications prepared by Chapman Technical Group. Construction time limit is 90 calendar days to Substantial Completion. Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents may be examined at the following places: Chapman Technical Group 200 Sixth Avenue St. Albans, West Virginia 25177 The Contractor’s Association of WV 2114 Kanawha Boulevard East Charleston, West Virginia 25311 Plans and Specifications shall be obtained by each Bidder from the office of Chapman Technical Group, 200 Sixth Avenue, St. Albans, West Virginia 25177, telephone (304) 727-5501, upon payment of a $100.00 non-refundable deposit. Purchase is also available at www.chaptech.com. PDF sets are available, but Bidders are required to obtain at least one hard copy set of the Drawings and Project Manual from Chapman Technical Group to submit a Bid on the project. Each Bid must be accompanied by a bid bond, made payable to the Owner, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Base Bid, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. All prospective Bidders must attend a Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference to be held at the Project Site at the Mason County Courthouse, 200 Sixth Street, Point Pleasant, WV 25550 on May 13, 2026, at 11:00 A.M., L.P.T., for the purpose of discussing the project and touring the project site. All Bidders are required to have a West Virginia Contractor’s License per Section 21-11-11 of the West Virginia Code. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids. No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the time of the opening of the Bids.
