NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Bluefield, Virginia Town Council will hold a PUBLIC HEARING on May 12, 2026 @ 6:45 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Town Hall at 112 Huffard Drive in Bluefield, Virginia. This said PUBLIC HEARING is being held to receive input on the amendment of Chapter 58 Utilities, Article II Water, Division 4 Rates, Charges, Billing Procedure, Sec. 58-127. – Connection or reconnection charge. (to read) "(a) When water has been cut off for nonpayment of bill or other cause, it shall not be turned on until a fee as recommended by the Town Manager and approved by resolution of the Town Council in addition to the amount of any outstanding bill and penalty has been paid in advance. In cases of disconnection for other cause, said cause must be also remedied to the satisfaction of the Town Manager." All interested persons are invited to appear at the said PUBLIC HEARING and present their views.
