NOTICE
City of Glen Dale
Notice is hereby given that the City of Glen Dale, a municipal corporation, will hold a hearing before the final vote on a proposed ordinance, the principal object of which is the increase of sewer rates for customers of the sewer system operated by the City of Glen Dale. The title of such ordinance is “An Ordinance to Increase Sewer Rates”. The rates and charges being proposed are:

(a) Availability of Service Available for general domestic, commercial and industrial sanitary sewer service.

(b) Rate Based upon the metered amount of water supplied or water discharged, with a minimum rate of two thousand (2,000) gallons for customers within the City.

(c)Charge for Gallons Used to all Residential and Commercial Customers within the City

First 50,000 gallons used per month-
$6.12 per 1,000 gallons

All over 50,000 gallons used per month-
$5.55 per 1,000 gallons

(d)Charge for Gallons Used to Industrial Customers within the City
$7.45 per 1,000 gallons

(e)Charge to Resale Customers (Marshall County Sewerage District) The rate based upon the metered water usage of Marshall County Sewerage District’s customers:
$3.19 per 1,000 gallons

(f)Delayed Payment Penalty The above schedule is net. On all accounts not paid in full within twenty (20) days of date of bill, ten percent (10{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c}) will be added to the net amount shown. This delayed payment is not interest and is only to be collected once for each bill where it is appropriate.

(g)Service Connection Charge A charge of five hundred and 00/100 dollars ($500.00) shall be made for each reconnection to the sewerage system after the effective date hereof.

(h)Service Reconnection Charge A charge of fifty and 00/100 dollars ($50.00) shall be made for each reconnection to the sewerage system after the effective date hereof.

(i)Insufficient Funds Check Service Charge A charge of twenty-five and 00/100 dollars ($25.00) shall be made for each check returned by bank. (ord. 4-26-02.)

The final vote on adoption of said proposed ordinance shall be held in the Council Chambers of the City of Glen Dale, City Hall, 402 Wheeling Avenue, Glen Dale, West Virginia on May 11, 2015, at seven thirty (7:30) p.m. Interested parties may appear and be heard at such time with respect to the passage of the proposed ordinance. The ordinance will not take effect sooner than forty five days after final passage or adoption. Copies of the proposed ordinance are available at the Office of the Clerk, City Hall, in Glen Dale.
