NOTICE OF PROPOSED CONVEYANCE OF THE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH PROPERTY Notice is hereby given pursuant to West Virginia Code Chapter 35, Article 1, Section 10, that on or after May 18, 2026, the Trustees of the Broad Oaks United Methodist Church will convey all that certain real estate more particularly described below, together with all improvements and appurtenances thereunto belonging to the Trustees of the Vincent Memorial United Methodist Church, for the consideration of $0. Legal description: All that certain lot or parcel of land, with the dwelling hourse and improvements thereon and the appurtenances thereunto belonging, known, numbered and designated as Lot No. Sixty (60) of Alta Vista Addition to the City of Clarksburg, as shown on a plat thereof, of record in the office of the Clerk of the County Commission of Harrison County, West Virginia, in Deed Book No. 123, at page 418; said lot fronting 41.4 feet on the northerly side of Austin Avenue, extending in a northerly direction along the easterly line of Ross Street, a distance of 139.9 feet on the westerly side and 120 feet on the easterly side, fronting 50 feet, more or less, on what was formerly Buckhannon Avenue, now Haymond Highway. There is further granted and conveyed that certain strip or parcel of real estate lying between Haymond Highway and the southerly line of Lot No. Sixty (60) hereinabove conveyed, which said strip or parcel of real estate hereby quitclaimed by said parties of the first part is a part of that certain strip or parcel of real estate shown upon said map or plat of Alta Vista as “Electric Railway Right of Way”. There is excepted and reserved from this conveyance for Grantors, and their successors in title, a 40′ right of way for ingress and egress over an existing paved access point from Ross Street, to other adjoining parcels currently owned by Grantors, providing a means of ingress and egress to the church parking lot. Being the same property conveyed unto the Trustees of the Broad Oaks United Methodist Church from Edith Mackey, Kathleen D. Henry and Edward J. Henry, by ded dated April 2, 1976, and of record in the Office of the Clerk of the County Commission of Harrison County, West Virginia in Ded Book 1043, at page 82.
