LEGAL NOTICE: NOTICE OF TERMINATION OF OIL AND GAS LEASE
TO: SPARTAN EXPLORATION COMPANY, its
successors, and assigns.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to W. Va. Code
§36-4-9b that the following oil and gas lease is
terminated, expired, or canceled according to its terms:
Original Parties: Executed June 8, 2001, by Byron L.
Hall and Constance T. Hall, husband and wife (Lessor),
and Spartan Exploration Company (Lessee).
Successor in Interest: Lee and Hall Royalties.
Recording Information: Wetzel County Oil and Gas Lease Book 80A at Page 141.
Property Description: Land located in Church, Grant, Green, Proctor and Clay Districts, Wetzel County, WV;
as identified in Exhibit A of the aforementioned lease.
Statement of Termination: The lease has terminated, expired, or canceled as of September 10, 2025 due to non-production.
Duty to Release: Pursuant to W. Va. Code §36-4-9b(a),
the Lessee has a duty to provide a written release of the
lease.
60-Day Notice: If a written release or a written
good-faith dispute to this termination is not received by
the undersigned within sixty (60) days from the date of
the last publication of this notice, the Lessor(s) shall file
an Affidavit of Termination, Expiration, or Cancellation in
the Office of the County Clerk.
