PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

In accordance with Chapter 8A, Article 5, Section 8 of the Code of West Virginia 2004, as amended, the Berkeley County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to consider the public comments on the following projects:

REQUEST FOR FINAL PLAT APPROVAL: Stoney Ridge, Section 6 – Lots 69-79 & 139-144: The site is located on the east side of Henshaw Road (WV Sec. Rt. 51/5), approximately 1.5 miles from its intersection with Gerrardstown Road (WV Rt. 51), in the Mill Creek Tax District. The Final Plat proposes 17 single-family lots, on approximately 5.3 acres, to be served by public water and sewer. File# 2503-073

REQUEST FOR DETAILED SIT PLAN APPROVAL: Liberty Business Park-Lot 22: The project is located in the western quadrant of Banner Drive and Charles Town Road Intersection, in the Arden Tax District. The project proposes a three commercial building development on 5.31 acres, to be served by public water and sewer. File# 2509-257 tied to 2503-061

REQUEST FOR MAJOR PLAN CHANGE APPROVAL: Oak Leaf Meadows – Section 1, Phase 1, Lots 1-10 & 142-147: The site is located on the south side of Sulphur Springs Road (WV Sec. Rt. 51/7), approximately a quarter mile east of Zig Zag Lane, in the Mill Creek Tax District. The Major Plan Change proposes lots 1-10 & 142-147 changing from villas to single-family detached lots on 2.11 acres, to be served by public water and sewer. File# 2604-214

REQUEST FOR WAIVER: Maple Ridge Station: The site is located on the north side of Hedgesville Road (WV Rt. 9), approximately 2,000 feet west of its intersection with Harlan Springs Road (CR 1), in the Hedgesville Tax District. The developer is requesting waivers to Section 512, of the Berkeley County Subdivision & Land Development Ordinance (2025), requiring any structure within 1,000 feet from any historic structure, landmark, or district listed on the National Register of Historic Places to obtain a certificate of appropriateness from the Planning Commission. The PUBLIC HEARING will be held on Monday, June 1, 2026, in the County Commission Chambers, 400 West Stephen Street, in the City of Martinsburg at 6:00 p.m. All persons and agencies having an interest on said plats are invited to participate in this hearing and make their comments known.

In the event that an unforeseen circumstance would cause the Planning Commission to cancel the scheduled meeting, a back-up public hearing date Monday, June 15, 2026 will be utilized.
