A Public Hearing for the Board of Zoning Appeals has been scheduled for Tuesday, June 2nd, 2026, in the Council Chambers, Weirton City Building at 4:30 pm. The purpose of this meeting is to review the following application:
1. Rod Rosnick at 180 Kanawha Drive is requesting a variance to install a detached accessory structure in a side yard area. This property is 5 acres south of 151 Estes (MapW43M, Parcel 33 is located in a R-2 Single- & Two-Family District.
The City of Weirton Unified development Ordinance (UDO) Table 2 Development Standards, require that Accessory Structures must be located behind the rear wall of a principal structure and are not permitted in a side yard.
Applicants must appear in person; all interested parties may appear in person or be represented by agent or attorneys or submit comments in writing giving reasons for either granting or denying this petition.
