ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS TOWN OF JANE LEW DEMOLITION PROJECT LEWIS COUNTY, WEST VIRGINIA Sealed bids for the Demolition Project will be received by the Town of Jane Lew, 6197 Main Street, Lewis County, West Virginia until 10 AM on Monday, June 29, 2026 at which time, bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. The scope of the work to be bid upon is described as follows: Demolition of the structures located at 107 Park Avenue, and 142 Park Avenue, Jane Lew, Lewis County, West Virginia. Work shall include asbestos abatement, demolition, grading sites for positive drainage, and seeding and mulching the disturbed area. Contractor is responsible for all traffic control, all necessary federal, state, and local permitting, removal of debris to a licensed landfill, coordinating for the disconnection of all utilities, and any other miscellaneous work necessary stated in the bid packet for the demolition of said structures. The contract will have a construction time limit of sixty (60) calendar days with liquidated damages of one-thousand ($1,000.00) dollars per day. Asbestos abatement must be performed in accordance with West Virginia Division of Health Legislative Rules Title 64 Series 63, OSHA Asbestos Construction Standard 29 CRF 1926.1101, and the EPA Asbestos NESHAP guidelines 40 CFR 61, Subpart M. A Notice of Abatement, Demolition, or Renovation form must be submitted to the proper agencies, and a 10-day notice given prior to the commencement of abatement on this project. Bidding documents may be obtained or examined at Town of Jane Lew, Town Hall, 6197 Main Street, Jane Lew, Lewis County, West Virginia. A bidder may not withdraw their bid for a period of thirty (30) days after the date set for the opening of bids. Bidders must hold a current West Virginia Contractor’s License on the date of Bid Opening. Bids will be received until 10 am on Monday, June 29, 2026. Bids received after the scheduled closing time for the reception of bids will be returned unopened to the bidders.
