ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS RESURFACING AND MILLING OF CITY STREETS CITY OF CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA FISCAL 2026-2027 Sealed bids will be received by the City of Clarksburg, West Virginia, at the office of the City Manager, until 9:00 A.M. Monday, June 15, 2026, for the resurfacing and milling of city streets in the City of Clarksburg. A “non-mandatory” pre-bid meeting will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026 at 10:00 A.M., in the City Manager’s Conference Room at the Clarksburg Municipal Building, 222 W. Main Street, Clarksburg, West Virginia. Proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud at the municipal building in the City Manager’s conference room at 10:00 A.M. Monday June 15, 2026. Complete plans, specifications and bid documents will be open to public inspection or may be secured at the office of the Finance Department at the Municipal Building, Clarksburg, West Virginia for the sum of $25.00 or online at: https://www.clarksburgwv.gov/businesses/rfp-bid-opportunities/ at no charge. Deposit will not be refunded. Each bidder must submit, along with the bid forms, a bid bond, payable to the City of Clarksburg, West Virginia in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of his total proposal. The bid bond may be in the form ofa cashier’s check or surety bond properly secured. The bid bond will be retained by the City and returned upon the contract award and execution of a contract with the lowest responsible bidder. The bidder awarded the contract must provide both a surety performance bond and payment bond equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the bid and a certificate of liability and property insurance naming the City as insured, along with evidence of Workers Compensation insurance. Bids must be clearly marked “Bid for Resurfacing and Milling of City Streets 2026-2027”, and must be received no later than 9:00 am, Monday, June 15, 2026, by the City Manager’s Office. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days from the date the bids are opened.
