Notice is hereby given that MABEN COAL LLC, 250 WEST MAIN STREET, SUITE 1900, LEXINGTON, KY 40507 has a permit on file with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for the surface mining of approximately 238.21 acres and has submitted an application to the DEP, 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV 25840, for renewal of Article 3 Permit Number S300519 to Coal Surface Mine, in the Sewell seam of coal.

The operation is discharging into Tributaries of Allen creek, Left Fork of Allen Creek, Right Fork of Cedar Creek, Unnamed Tributaries of/and Cedar Creek, and Unnamed Tributaries of/and Slab Fork of The Guyandotte River and is located 5.3 miles, Northeast of Mullens in Slab Fork District of Wyoming County and Raleigh Counties, Longitude 81° 22' 10" and Latitude 37° 38' 43" (Coordinates from USGS Topographic Map).
