A Public Hearing by the City of Weirton Planning Commission has been scheduled for Wednesday, July 15, 2026, in Council Chambers, Weirton City Building at 5:30 PM. The purpose of this meeting is to review the following Zoning requests:
a) Yi it Arnaz, on behalf of Locust Development, LLC, is requesting a subdivision variance to reduce the minimum lot frontage for a residential development project on Locust Street (Tax Map W39J, Parcels 105 and 143). UDO Article 5.02 (A), (1) allows for a variance from the Planning Commission if one or more of the lots within the proposed minor subdivision meet all of these criteria except the minimum lot frontage requirement and/or the minimum lot size requirement minimum lot frontage is not met.
Applicants must appear in person; all interested parties may appear in person or be represented by an agent or attorneys, or written comments can be submitted to the Planning and Development Department at 200 Municipal Plaza, Weirton, WV 26062 in writing, giving reasons for either granting or denying this petition.
