NOTICE OF
MAGISTRATE VACANCY
TO BE FILLED AT THE
NOVEMBER 3, 2026,
GENERAL ELECTION

Notice is hereby given that a vacancy has occurred in the Office of Magistrate for Marion County, West Virginia.

Pursuant to the applicable provisions of the West Virginia Code governing vacancies in the office of magistrate, the unexpired term for this office shall be filled by election at the General Election to be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.

Qualified individuals seeking election to the office of Magistrate for the unexpired term must satisfy all constitutional and statutory qualifications for the office and comply with all applicable candidate filing requirements and deadlines established by the West Virginia Code and the West Virginia Secretary of State.

The candidate filing period shall begin on July 8, 2026 and end on July 22, 2026. Additional information regarding candidate filing requirements and applicable deadlines may be obtained from the Marion County Clerk.

This notice is published as a Class II Legal Advertisement, with publication once a week for two successive weeks.
