Invitation for Bids
The Marshall County Board of Education located at 214 Middle Grave Creek Road, Moundsville, WV 26041 will be accepting bids for electrical upgrades to John Marshall High School, Center for the Performing Arts. This is preliminary work to be done in preparation for upgrades to lighting/sound booth which is scheduled for mid-July. The board requests two separate bids-one for the demolition and one for the installation.
The demolition part consists of the following:
1. Reuse or replace existing 3.5 inch pipe and remove 350 copper wiring from lower level main panel to upper level booth area.
2. Remove existing large “Dimming Rack/Console” from the booth area.
3. Remove existing wiring from booth console back down to lower-level existing linear light controller.
4. Remove wiring from linear light controller to breaker panel and both.
5. Remove linear light controller from lower level.
The installation part consists of the following:
1. Install three phase breaker panel and line feed to panel on front interior wall (East) in booth.
2. Install relay panel on same wall (East) in booth. Relay panel to be furnished by lighting installers and installed by EC. Will provide a single gang backbox with EMT going to the SmartSwitch relay panel, located near the relay panel.
3. Install stage lighting controller in booth area which supports the following:
a. Turn on/off ceiling lights (house lights), potentially through relay panel.
b. Turn on/off and dim-side wall lights.
Work for these bid would need to be completed between June 23 and July 15, 2015. The successful bidder needs to be able to coordinate all installations with lighting technicians to meet specifications for lighting upgrades to be made after upgrade in this bid package are completed. The successful bidder must also be able to coordinate scheduling of upgrades described in this package to allow installation of lighting upgrades to begin July 16, 2015. Note that all factory warranties will remain intact with authorized dealer. All bids must be received by May 27, 2015. The Marshall County Board of Education reserves the right to accept or deny any or all bids.
