MUNICIPAL COURT JUDGE JOB ANNOUNCMENT City of Weston 102 W. 2nd Street Weston, WV 26452 The City of Weston is accepting applications for Municipal Court Judge. This part time position requires presiding over session of Municipal court 1-2 times per month depending on case load. The Municipal Court Judge will be responsible for adjudicating a wide variety of cases, including traffic violations, property maintenance violations, and other violations of Weston municipal code. The Municipal Court Judge reports to the City Manager and will work closely with the City Clerk/Recorder and the Police Clerk. The position is an irregular part-time position with annual pay of $7,800.00 Candidates must be certified with the West Virginia Municipal league, possess knowledge of municipal laws, ordinances, court rules, legal procedures, and terminology as well as excellent communication skills both oral and written. Ability to use tact, discretion, and courtesy in dealing with general public. Applicants for municipal judge shall submit to a criminal background check.
