NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING OF THE
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF WETZEL COUNTY HOSPITAL AND
WETZEL COUNTY
HOSPITAL
ASSOCIATION
Pursuant to the Open Hospital Proceedings Act, W. Va. Code Section 16-5G-1 et seq., and the Open Governmental Proceedings Act, W. Va. Code Section 6-9A-1 et seq., notice is hereby given that the Board of Trustees of Wetzel County Hospital and the Wetzel County Hospital Association will hold a regular meeting on March 24, 2020, at 5:00 p.m. in Conference Room 1, located in Wetzel County Hospital at 3 East Benjamin Drive, New Martinsville, West Virginia 26155. The meeting will be open to the public. The purpose of the meeting is to consider and vote on an Operating Lease and Agreement by and among the Board of Trustees of Wetzel County Hospital; the Wetzel County Hospital Association; the County Commission of Wetzel County, West Virginia; Wetzel County Hospital, Inc. (“WCH”); West Virginia University Hospitals, Inc.; and West Virginia University Health System, Inc., pursuant to which WCH will lease or assume substantially all of the assets associated with Wetzel County Hospital (the “Hospital”), operate the Hospital after the effective date of the Operating Lease and Agreement, and assume responsibility for carrying out the undertakings of the Hospital. A copy of the notice of meeting and the agenda is available for public inspection at the Wetzel County Courthouse, located at 200 Main Street, New Martinsville, West Virginia 26155. Any member of the public who wishes to address the governing body of the Hospital may register not more than 15 minutes prior to the time of the meeting.
