NOTICE TO BIDDERS
OBSTRUCTION
REMOVAL
The Ohio County Commission located in Wheeling, WV is requesting proposals for Obstruction Removal Project at the Wheeling-Ohio County Airport. Proposals will be received by the Ohio County Commission, Room 215, City County Building, 1500 Chapline Street, Wheeling WV 26003 until 2:00 p.m. on the 25th day of June, 2015, at which time and place all Proposals will be opened and read aloud. The bid shall be submitted in a sealed envelope marked “Wheeling-Ohio County Airport, Bid for: Obstruction Removal Project.”
The Bid Documents may be examined at the Wheeling-Ohio County Airport. Bid Documents shall be obtained in PDF format on compact disc from the Engineer at Michael Baker Jr., Inc., 100 Airside Drive, Moon Township, PA 15108 for a non-refundable fee of $25.00. Bidders may fax their written request to Baker Aviation Services at 412-375-3993 or call Lisa Dillow at 412-375-3109.
A pre-bid meeting will be held at the Wheeling-Ohio County Airport at 10:00 a.m. on the 9th day of June, 2015.
A satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the bidder or an acceptable surety in an amount equal to 10{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c} of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. (Cashiers Check may serve as 10{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c} Bid Bond and will be returned uncashed upon bid resolution). The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c} of the bidder’s contract amount. Successful bidders will be required to obtain all permits necessary.
Davis Bacon Wage Determinations for West Virginia, Ohio County, 2015 shall apply. Certified payrolls shall be submitted for this project.
Any Bid withdrawal shall be governed by WV Code 5-22-2. Each bidder must insure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, creed, color, sex, or national origin.
The Ohio County Commission reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids. The Commission further reserves the right to waive any informality in a bid or reject such an informal bid if it is to their advantage to do so.
