Notice is hereby given that J. F. Allen Company, PO Box 2049, 2133 Old Weston Road, Buckhannon, WV 26201-2049, has submitted an application for Permit Number Q200197 to the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), 47 School Street, Suite 301, Philippi, WV, 26416-1600 in order to add 4.7 acres of support area. The operation is discharging into Unnamed Tributaries of/and Tygart Valley River of the Monongahela River and is located near Elkins in Leadsville District of Randolph County, Longitude 79* 54′ 31″ and Latitude 38* 55′ 37″ (coordinates from USGS Topographic Map).
Surface of the area associated herewith is owned by: Interstate Hardwoods Company, Inc., PO Box 7, Bartow, WV 24920, and the mineral associated herewith is owned by: J. F. Allen Company, PO Box 2049, 2133 Old Weston Road, Buckhannon, WV 26201-2049, and Interstate Hardwoods Company, Inc., PO Box 7, Bartow, WV 24920. The source of the applicant’s legal right to enter and conduct quarrying operation on the land to be covered by this application is by: Deed and Lease.
Surface of the area within 500 feet of the permit area is owned by: Marla Lee Blady & Joseph W. Cunningham II, 331 Braeburn Dr., Martinsburg, WV 25403, and J. F. Allen Company, PO Box 2049, 2133 Old Weston Road, Buckhannon, WV 26201-2049.
Comments on the application shall be in writing and shall identify the applicant and application number and be sent to the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) at the address above. Comments received by April 30, 2020, or thirty (30) days from the date of initial date of publication, will be considered. A copy of the application will be available until April 30, 2020, or thirty (30) days from initial date of publication in the DEP Regional Office located at the address above AND in the Randolph County Clerk’s Office(s) during normal business hours.
