PUBLIC NOTICE OF PROPOSED CHANGE IN RATES
FOR WATER SERVICE
NOTICE is hereby given that the Ohio County Public Service District (District), a public utility, proposes to changes its rates, fees, and charges for furnishing water service in the Counties of Ohio, Brooke, and Marshall, West Virginia. To fund the working capital reserve required by W. Va. Code Section 24-1-1(k) enacted under Senate Bill No. 234, effective June 12, 2015, the District proposes a two-tiered rate increase that would fund the mandated reserve over a period of five years at an overall increase of 25{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c}, with the rates to decrease thereafter by approximately 2.5{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c}. The proposed change will increase the current average residential bill by approximately $10.44 or 25.5{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c} during the first five years and $9.40 or 23{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c} thereafter. The proposed changes to the District’s current rates are as follows:

The Board of the Ohio County Public Service District will hold a public hearing at the City-County Building, Second Floor courtroom, Room 226, 1500 Chapline Street, Wheeling, West Virginia on July 16, 2015, at 6:00 p.m. concerning the adoption of the proposed changes to its rates, fees, and charges with a final vote on adoption to occur on July 22, 2015, at 7:00 p.m. at the District’s office at 5383 National Road, Triadelphia, West Virginia. Any interested parties may appear at the foregoing public hearing and be heard with respect to the proposed rates, fees, and charges or may submit written comments in advance of the hearing to the Ohio County Public Service District at the following address: 5383 National Road, P. O. Box 216, Triadelphia, West Virginia, 26059.
