Sealed proposals for:
Wildwood Middle School Athletic Field Improvements will be received by the Jefferson County Board of Education,
110 Mordington Avenue, Charles Town, WV 25414, until 1:00 PM local time
on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 (Bids received after this time will not be
accepted); at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. All attendees must wear a face mask and use provided hand sanitizer. After opening, the bids will be compared as to quality, thoroughness, and cost by the Owner, and Architect/Engineer (OWPR, Inc. Architects and Engineers). Lump sum bids are being
solicited for Work included in the above referenced Bid Item for the
Project indicated.
The contract documents (hard copy) may be
obtained on or after
Tuesday, June 9, 2020, for purchase at cost plus applicable shipping fees at the office of Charleston Blueprint, 1203 Virginia Street East, Charleston, WV 25301, Phone:

The contract documents can be obtained via digital download from ShareFile at no cost. Contact [email protected]
for ShareFile access. Upon receipt of valid email address, OWPR will provide a password with instructions on accessing and downloading plans and specifications.

Contractors may purchase additional sets of drawings from Charleston Blueprint at their own expense. Contractors purchasing additional bidding documents are also responsible for obtaining and purchasing copies of any and all addenda, including any shipping or handling costs.
This is a Single Prime Contractor project. Due to COVID-19, a Pre-Bid Conference will not be held. The Contractor may visit the Project site. All visits to the Project site shall be scheduled with Brandan Caton, Jefferson County Schools
(304) 582-2490.
All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond,
executed by the Bidder and an acceptable Surety, in an amount equal to 5% of the bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a 100% Performance and Material Payment Bond in the amount of the bid, as described in the Instructions to Bidders. Each bidder shall ensure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, creed, color, sex, or
national origin.
No bidder may withdraw his bid within thirty (30) days after the bid opening. The Owner reserves the right to conduct such investigation as necessary to determine the responsibility of a bidder, and to the extent permitted by state law; Jefferson County Schools reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to make selections from the bids that are solely in the best interest of Jefferson County Schools.
