PUBLIC NOTICE
As of June 17, 2020, the West Virginia Public Service Commission has issued a General Order # 262.5, addressing the voluntarily suspension of service terminations by West Virginia Utilities due to Covid-19.
West Virginia Utilities may begin the notice of termination process effective July 1,2020. If any Weirton Area Water Board customer receives a termination letter after July 1, 2020 for unpaid water and sewer bills, please call 304-797-8500 ext. 1017 or 1018 to pay the unpaid bills or call 304-797-8580 to make arrangements to sign a deferred payment plan before a 24 hour shut-off door hanger is placed at your residence or business. Any late fees will be removed for the period of March 13, 2020 to June 30, 2020.
