PUBLIC NOTICE OF PROPOSED ORDINANCE RELATING TO
WATER RATES, FEES AND CHARGES OF THE CITY OF WEIRTON
Notice is hereby given that, on the 13th day of July, 2020, the City Council of the City of Weirton caused to be read an Ordinance proposing an increase of its current water tariff and is proposing the adoption of same. the title of such Ordinance reads:
ORDINANCE NO. 2127
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING AND FIXING WATER RATES, FEES AND CHARGES OF THE CITY OF WEIRTON,
WEST VIRGINIA
A public hearing on the Ordinance will be held on August 10, 2020, at 6:00 p.m., in the Weirton Room, Millsop Community Center, 3420 Main Street, Weirton, West Virginia, at which hearing any interested parties may appear and present comments or protests, if any, with respect to the proposed Ordinance. The Weirton City Council will have its final reading and vote on the Ordinance at 7:00 p.m. in the same location following said public hearing.
A copy of the proposed Ordinance is available for public inspection on the City’s website www.cityof
weirton.com and at the City Clerk’s Office located at 200 Municipal Plaza, Weirton, West Virginia. That office is open to the public Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. However, due to limited access to the City Building during the Covid-19 crisis, please contact the Clerk’s Office at 304-797-8500 Extension 1045, to schedule a time during business hours to review the Ordinance.
