AIR QUALITY PERMIT NOTICE
Notice of Application

Notice is given that Mountaineer Park Inc. has applied to the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Air Quality, for a Modification Permit for a 250-kW emergency backup generator located at Mountaineer Casino, Racetrack & Resort on RR2, in Chester, in Hancock County, West Virginia. The latitude and longitude coordinates are: 40.58175N, 80.65471W.

The applicant estimates the increased potential to discharge the following Regulated Air Pollutants will be: 0.63 tons per year (tpy) for Oxides of Nitrogen; 0.55 tpy for Carbon Monoxide; 0.20 tpy for Sulfur Dioxide; 0.03 tpy for Particulate Matter; 0.24 tpy for Volatile Organic Compounds; 0.00048 tpy for Acetaldehyde; 0.00006 tpy for Acrolein; 0.00059 tpy for Benzene; 0.00074 tpy for Formaldehyde; 0.00005 tpy for Napthalene; 0.00026 tpy for Toluene; and 0.00018 tpy for Xylenes.

Startup of operation began in December, 2019. Written comments will be received by the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Air Quality, 601 57th Street, SE, Charleston, WV 25304, for at least 30 calendar days from the date of publication of this notice. Written comments will also be received via email at [email protected].
