Public Notice
The City of New Martinsville Water & Sanitary Sewer Board is making a public notification of the following
information on combined sewer overflows:
CSO’s are overflows that combine catch basins and
other rainwater that drains into the sewer collection
system. During heavy rain events, the system can
become overloaded and release a combination of
rainwater and sewage to the Ohio River and Fishing Creek.
We have public notification signs posted at all CSO
locations and information is available at city hall.
If an overflow is noticed during dry weather, please
notify the water and sewer board by calling 455-9130 or 455-9100.
