INVITATION TO BID
BERKELEY COUNTY PUBLIC SERVICE
WATER DISTRICT (BCPSWD)

BID FOR ARCADIA SPRINGS WATER MAIN

Berkeley County Public Service Water District (BCPSWD) requests bids for water main construction. Sealed Bids, marked plainly on the outside of the envelope, Arcadia Springs Rule 5.5 will be received until 5:00 PM on Monday, September 28, 2020 at Berkeley County Public Service Water District’s offices at
251 Caperton Blvd.,
Martinsburg, WV 25403, at which time and place bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

Copies of the Bid
Documents, Technical Specifications and Water Line Drawings may be obtained from the BCPSWD upon payment of $50 (non-refundable). All requests for contract documents shall be made to District Engineer, BCPSWD, 251 Caperton Blvd., Martinsburg, WV 25403, telephone (304) 267-4600. The complete set of Contract Documents may be examined at the offices of BCPSWD and on the BCPSWD website, at www.berkeleywater.org.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 251 Caperton Blvd.,
Martinsburg, WV 25403 on September 15, 2020
at 1:00 PM.

Each Bid must be
accompanied by a Certified or Bank Check or Bid Bond naming as payee or obligee, as applicable, the Berkeley County Public Service Water District. The amount shall be 5% of the total Bid amount as security for proper execution of the Agreement and submitting other documents required by the Contract Documents.

The successful Bidder will be required to execute the Agreement and to furnish Performance and Payment bonds, each of said bonds to be in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price, all in the respective forms provided in the Contract Documents. All bonds shall be executed by sureties named in the current list, “Companies Holding Certificates of Authority as Acceptable Sureties in Federal Bonds and as Acceptable Reinsuring Companies” as published in Circular 570 (as amended) by the Audit Staff, Bureau of Government Financial Operations, U.S. Treasury Department, and shall be acceptable to the Berkeley County Public Service Water District.

Each successful Bidder will be required to possess a valid State of West Virginia contractor’s license. The successful Bidder will also be required to furnish evidence of insurance coverage required by the Contract Documents.

No bid may be withdrawn for 45 days after the date fixed for opening Bids. The BCPSWD reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, and to waive any
informalities and
irregularities therein.
