Best Value Procurement
The Assessor’s Office will select which proposal to
accept based on Best Value Procurement practices. Under Best Value Procurement, the Assessor’s Office will consider the proposed price, and the total cost of
acquiring, operating, maintaining and supporting the
requested commodity or service over its projected
lifetime, balanced with the evaluated manner in which the proposal addresses the business objectives set forth in the Request for Proposal. While the price is a key consideration, this does not mean that the Assessor’s Office will necessarily select the lowest bid; it will select the bid that, after due and thorough evaluation, is
determined to most effectively meet the needs of the Assessor’s Office for the best value.
