Separate sealed bids for construction of City of Glen Dale – Pool Repair will be received by the City of Glen Dale at the City Building located on 402 Wheeling Avenue, Glen Dale, WV 26038 until August 24, 2015 at 10:00 am, local time. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud during the Glen Dale Council Meeting 7:30 PM August 24th in the Glen Dale Council Chambers at 402 Wheeling Ave.

Method of Bidding will be as follows:
CONTRACT #1 – Pool Repair: Lump Sum contract to remove and replace approximately 2,100 square feet (51.85 cubic yards) of concrete around the Glen Dale Pool. Existing concrete is to be saw cut (8″ minimum) and removed from around the perimeter of the pool and existing stainless steel gutter system. All Gutter Welds are to be exposed 1 foot below gutter for inspection by City. Pool Ladders and Swimming Lane anchors are to be removed and replaced in same location. Guard Stand anchors will be left in place during concrete removal. City will inspect and make repairs to stainless steel gutters as necessary. Select backfill replaced at gutter weld locations, stone bedding for concrete around perimeter of pool, and concrete replacement after City is completed with stainless steel gutter repair. Existing cracks on remaining concrete decking is to be scored and scaled. All work is to be done according to Construction Drawings and Specifications.

If documents are mailed, a non-refundable $20.00 postage and handling charge will be added.
The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
Each Bidder must submit with his bid, security in the amount, form, and subject to the conditions provided for in the Information for Bidders.
No Bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
Any Contractor submitting a Bid on this project hereby certifies, indicates, and acknowledges that he/she has a license and meets all the qualifications required by the statues of the state and subdivision in which the work is to be performed. Bidders must comply with Article 12-11-11 of the West Virginia Code by including their contractor’s license number on any bid submission.
