Data Center Emergency Generator

Notice to Vendors

The Board of Education of the County of Berkeley, Martinsburg, WV, will receive sealed bids for an Emergency Generator to serve the County’s Data Center located at Mountain Ridge Middle School. The sealed bids will be accepted until 1:30 p.m., local prevailing time on the 27th day of October 2020, at the office of the Berkeley County Board of Education, 1453 Winchester Avenue, Martinsburg, WV 25405, at which time and place all beids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

Bidding Criteria:
¯Must attend a pre-bid meeting at the project
location
¯Must be able to perform turn-key installation
¯Must provide manufacturers standard warranty in writing
¯Must provide contractor workmanship warranty in writing

PRE-BID DATE — 1:00 pm October 20th, 2020, Front Entrance of Mountain Ridge Middle School, 2771 Gerrardstown Road, Gerrardstown, WV 25420

Scope of Work:

1. Furnish and install:
a. 150kW diesel generator (exterior, sound attenuated, weatherproof)
a.i. Standby power rating – 150kW/188kVA
a.ii. Prime power rating – 140K/175kVA
a.iii. Exterior mounted emergency stop
a.iv. Minimum 500-gallon tank

b. 200-amp ATS
b.i. 277/480v
b.ii. Nema 3R

c. 75kVA Transformer

d. All other components required (including but not limited to):
d.i. Fused disconnect
d.ii. Panel Board
d.iii. Breaker frame

2. Perform electrical labor to:
a. set all equipment
b. run raceways
c. pull wire
d. make final connections
e. programming & startup
f. final inspection
g. Owner training.

3. Contractor will be required to procure all applicable permits with local and state AHJ’s. If
required contractor will be responsible for all drawings and submittals
required by AHJ’s.

The Berkeley County Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding process.
