INVITATION TO BID

Notice is hereby given that sealed proposals will be received by the Berkeley County Public Service Sewer District at the Berkeley County Public Service Sewer District
Office, 65 District Way, Martinsburg, West Virginia on November 30, 2020 at 2:00 pm prevailing time, for ONE COMPLETE 2020 or 2021
PETERBILT 348 OR COMPARABLE SPREADER TRUCK.

Minimum chassis requirements include a 223″ overall frame length, to accommodate 18′ spreader body. (C-A varies depending on spreader make and model), Tandem axel, 16,000 frt/46,000 rr axels, Minimum 9L with 300 or equivalent hp, Hydraulic system to support spreader. frt or rear mount, Manual transmission to accommodate speeds as low as 3 or 4 mph and maintain 2000 rpms, Basic GPS/rate control system, Back up alarm, AC, Jake Brake, priced separately, Weight sensors as an option, priced separately, Heated, Power mirrors, priced separately, Blue Tooth, priced separately, Both Air ride seats, Rear Tire size – Alliance Series 331 600/40 x 22.5 mounted on 22.5 x 20 rim, 10 hole steel wheels. Spreader bed should be Kuhn Knight SLC132 ProTwin Slinger 16 cubic yard or comparable.

All complete bid
submissions shall be
enclosed in a sealed
envelope addressed as follows: “BERKELEY COUNTY PUBLIC SERVICE SEWER DISTRICT, WEST VIRGINIA, SEALED BID FOR “ONE COMPLETE 2020 or 2021 PETERBILT 348 OR COMPARABLE SPREADER TRUCK”. Said sealed envelopes shall bear the name and address of the bidder on the outside face of the
envelope. Please indicate on bid proposals any discounts that may be
associated with the
purchase of this truck.

Proposals shall not be withdrawn and shall remain in effect for a period of ninety (90) days, unless there has been an agreed extension as set forth in the above paragraph.

The Berkeley County
Public Service Sewer
District reserves the right to reject any or all bids and/or waive any
informalities as may be deemed to be held in the best interest of the
Berkeley County Public Service Sewer District.
