Notice to Vendors
The Board of Education of the County of Berkeley, Martinsburg, WV, will
receive sealed bids for a “Warehouse & Cold Storage Pre-Engineered Building” located behind the BOE Office. The sealed bids will be
accepted until 8:00 A.M., local prevailing time on the 4th day of December 2020, at the office of the Berkeley County Board of Education, 1453 Winchester Avenue, Martinsburg, WV 25405, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Bidding Criteria:
¯Attend the pre-bid meeting at the project location
¯Submit a Qualifications Questionnaire
¯Submit a Proposal with all required information.
PRE-BID DATE1:00 pm, November 24th, 2020, Front Entrance of
Berkeley County Schools Board Office, located at 1453 Winchester Ave., Martinsburg, WV 25405.
BACKGROUND:
Berkeley County Schools has approximately 4.5 acres of undeveloped land located behind the Board Office. It is the desire of the Board of Education to use this land to construct a Pre-Engineered Building to house the County’s warehouse and cold storage facility. The intent is to enter into an
agreement that follows design-build ‘lite’principles to have the successful bidder assist and guide the County in planning, design, coordination and construction. Successful bidder will hold the design contract as well all
construction contracts.

The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in the bidding.
