Sealed Bids
The Wetzel County
Assessor’s Office will be
accepting sealed bids for
two new 2020 or 2021
Ford Edges and one new
2020 or 2021 Ford Expe
ition. The Wetzel County
Assessor’s will be trading
in two 2013 Ford Edges.
The new Ford Edges and
Ford Expedition need to
have all safety features
and driver assist features
available. Any dealership
wanting to place a bid,
and wants to appraise the
vehicles being traded in,
may call the Wetzel
County Assessor’s Office
to establish an
appointment. You may
establish an appointment
with Bob Flowers,
Anthony Steele, or Beth
Hayes. Please call
304-455-8216 to establish
an appointment with either
of these individuals. All
bids must be submitted to
the Wetzel County
Assessor’s Office by 4:00
p.m. on Thursday,
January 7, 2021. The bids
need to be placed in a
sealed envelope and
marked sealed bids for
new vehicles. The bids
will be opened on Friday,
January 8, 2021 at 10:30
a.m. in the Wetzel County
Assessor’s Office.
Anyone placing a bid on
the vehicles may attend
the bid opening on Friday,
January 8 at 10:30 a.m.
Best Value Procurement
The Assessor’s Office will
select which proposal to
accept based on Best
Value Procurement
practices. Under Best
Value Procurement, the
Assessor’s Office will
consider the proposed
price, and the total cost of
acquiring, operating,
maintaining and
supporting the requested
commodity or service over
its projected lifetime,
balanced with the
evaluated manner in
which the proposal
addresses the business
objectives set forth in the
Request for Proposal.
While the price is a key
consideration, this does
not mean that the
Assessor’s Office will
necessarily select the
lowest bid; it will select the
bid that, after due and
thorough evaluation, is
determined to most
effectively meet the needs
of the Assessor’s Office
for the best value.
